NetBackup 10
NetBackup 10 is a cloud-optimized, data management solution that applies web-scale technologies and automation to deliver cost-effective, efficient, and secure data management in multi-cloud environments. Veritas estimates the features in NetBackup 10 with multi-cloud storage and orchestrated tiering capabilities, can reduce the cost of backup storage on AWS and Microsoft Azure by up to 95 percent. Deduplication services have also been upgraded to further minimize cloud footprint. NetBackup10, with support for all major Kubernetes distributions, provides multi-cloud cross-platform recovery.
Veritas has integrated SaaS Protection with NetBackup 10, providing a single-pane-of-glass view of the data protection environment for governance and compliance, delivered with more efficient, simplified automated operations. Veritas APTARE has been replaced with a new integrated no-cost base version of NetBackup IT Analytics providing AI-driven analytics and reporting.
With the increase in ransomware attacks, NetBackup 10 provides automatic malware scanning during backups and prior to restores. Combining ransomware detection services with AI-driven anomaly detection can automatically initiate malware scanning.
