TrueCommand V2.1 from iXsystems, Inc. is the interface for managing TrueNAS storage systems on-site or from the cloud.
TrueCommand captures and analyses data in real time. Predictive Analysis helps maximise the uptime of NAS. Custom alerts and reports speed up error management and diagnostics. The update enhances usability and performance and adds numerous security features, including 2-factor authentication, SAML SSO support and email verification for user emails. Role-based access control (RBAC) and special accesses, e.g. for audits, provide more security within an organization.
New features include storage health checks and a test for LDAP settings. The NAS user management also offers the possibility to manage individual users as well as groups for shares and to reset user passwords from the login page. TrueCommand is available as a Docker image or VM. For installation with Kubernetes, corresponding playbooks are available. It is free of charge for up to 50 data carriers. The licence costs for additional HDDs/SSD depend on the number. Licences can be obtained via the company’s service portal or from authorised partners such as Holstein IT-Solutions.
