Following the success of its Google Workspace, Roche has renewed its digital tools from the company to meet patient needs
Digitalisation was adopted very quickly during the coronavirus pandemic. Organisations that would not have considered technology a critical component of their day-to-day operations are now much wiser. But for technology application to be successful, businesses should choose carefully and leverage those organisations that can provide great working relationships.
Google announced that its existing pharmaceutical client, Roche Holding AG, is renewing its Google Workspace to maintain the level of service required by its customer and patients. Roche was founded in 1896 as F Hoffmann-La Roche AG, based in Switzerland, with the purpose of visualising future pharmaceutical and healthcare needs. In 2020, the group signed an agreement with Google to provide more than 100,000 employees and a network of business partners with Google Workspace for another five years.
In an effort to break down silos across its teams, which are dispersed in all regions, the company has leveraged Google’s digital tools, including the use of Google Meet, Slides, Sheets, and Google Cloud Search. This was an integral part of the organisation’s digital transformation journey during one of the most difficult years in history, shifting seamlessly to remote working capabilities while addressing security concerns and managing contractors and suppliers off-site and maintaining connections with on-site employees.
The future of Google Workspace at Roche
With the common goal of innovation for a better future in healthcare. Roche and Google are in good stead to manage any potential changes that may occur. Roche also provides an increasing list of clients for the Google Workspace, from early-stage startups to global corporations with the aim of transforming their operations.
