ATC Ghana supports Girls-In-ICT Program

American Towers Corporation (ATC) today donated 3000 sanitary pads, 3000 soaps, 1000 deodorants and 3000 packaging bags to the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation as part of measures to contribute to the success of this year’s mentorship under Girls-In-ICT program.
Every year, a special session on personal hygiene grooming is organized under the leadership of the honorable minister, Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful (MP) . This year’s session is fully sponsored by ATC Ghana.
The Deputy Minister, Ms. Ama Pomaa-Boateng (MP) who received the donation said the items were aimed at enhancing personal hygiene to girls to groom themselves well.
Ms. Pomaa-Boateng, extended the Minister’s profound gratitude to ATC Ghana for their continuous support towards the Girls in ICT Programme.
“The Girls in ICT program is not only about Technical skills , but menstrual health management as well” she noted
The Human Resources Business Partner at ATC Ghana, Ms. Dorothy Wiafe Akenteng assured the Ministry of their commitment in providing support, adding, that ICT was the order of the day and as more women were underprivileged, they we will contribute in any capacity to advance women empowerment in ICT.
Also at the meeting with the Deputy Minister, were the Chief Director, Mr. Alexander Yaw Arphul ; Head, PPME, Mr. Emmanuel Ofori, staff of MoCD and staff of ATC.
